La DO Catalunya celebrates its 10th anniversary with the consumer confidence, becoming the Designation of Origin with more commercialised wine. Therefore, this campaign is conceive towards the consumer with the aim to let everybody know about the wine culture. Catalunya Designation of Origin organises guided wine tours in Town's Celebrations Festes Majors of Barcelona and for small groups in its headquarters at Reus, holded by l’enòleg i DO Catalunya`s winemaker, Anton Castellà. You can sign on at facebook of DO Catalunya, created with the aim to get close to the citizens using brand new social networks.

The campaign also has some activities in Reus, the city that holds the Catalunya Designation of Origin headquarters. Since last september guided wine tours are available freely every two weeks. Moreover, along these months, a photograph exhibition about crucial Catalunya Designation of Origin moments of its ten years will be available.

DO Catalunya announces within the framework of this anniversary, the II edition of the BlogDOCat Contest for the best catalan wineblog with a 3.000 € first prize.

The commemoration events of the 10th anniversary ends on juny the 19th, when you will tast wines from most of winemakers of DO Catalunya with a schedule of live events. Sala Marqués de Comillas of Drassanes Reials and Museu Marítim of Barcelona will hold the The Closing Ceremony of DO Catalunya's 10th anniversary, where the prizes of both contests will be awarded.
